Rachel is a fourth-generation green thumb with a passion for color, design, and gardening.
Ever since she was a toddler, Rachel watched her mother and grandmother (a master gardener) tend to their gardens with loving tenderness and relentless tenacity. As their young helper, she developed a love for nature, spending time in the outdoors, and working the soil with her bare hands.
In high school, Rachel spent her summers working at a greenhouse where she was introduced to the art of container gardening. Designing window boxes and hanging baskets became a true passion which eventually led her to pursue floral design classes in New York City years later.
Rachel has studied extensively with Ariella Chezar (who she currently freelances for regularly), Christian Tortu in Paris, and a number of talented instructors and professionals in New York City. She also studied flower farming with the amazing Erin Benzakien at the stunning Floret Flower Farm in Skagit County north of Seattle.
Rachel loves the synergy of working with creative people to pull off an event, big or small and has worked events for over 20 years. Whether she is there to support others or take the lead, Rachel brings energy and enthusiasm to the job along with a whimsical sense of humor.
She is happy to travel and can work within the United States and abroad. To book her for your wedding or hire her for an event, contact her directly at firstname.lastname@example.org.
